Tell us about your move — we reply with a written estimate.
Not every move needs a truck from us. If you’ve already rented one, or a friend’s pickup is handling the boxes, labor-only help puts trained movers on your loading or unloading end without the vehicle attached.
- Loading a rented truck or storage container
- Unloading at your new address
- Both ends of the move, booked as one job
Crews arrive with dollies, furniture pads and straps, and load the truck the way a professional crew would: tight and balanced, so nothing shifts on the drive.
This is popular with clients moving out of Spring or Pasadena into a rented truck for a DIY long-distance leg, and with anyone unloading a container that’s been sitting on the driveway. It also comes up for military families working through a PCS move on a government-issued rental.
Pricing runs by crew hours instead of by weight or distance, since there’s no truck or mileage involved on our side. It’s still built into a written estimate up front based on how much you’re moving and how many hands you’ll need. Most load-only jobs run two to three hours; unloading tends to move a little faster once the truck is already packed.
Combine this with a rented truck, a container, or your own vehicle. Compare it against local moves where we bring the truck too, or get an estimate for your load or unload.

Four steps, same crew the whole way — here is what actually happens once you call The One Movers about a Houston move.
Bradley Walks The Job
A phone call or a short in-home visit gets him the room count, access issues and your target date.
Written Estimate Lands
Crew size, truck size and materials are all spelled out before you commit to a date.
Crew Loads With Care
Floors and doorframes get protected first, then every piece is wrapped and loaded by hand.
Set Up At The New Place
Furniture goes where you point, boxes stack by room, and the crew hauls the packing debris away with them.
Why Houston Calls Us Back
Every Mover Is On Payroll
No subcontractors, no day laborers pulled off a corner. The crew that shows up on your move day is background-checked and trained by us, same as every job we have run since 2011.
Built For Awkward Pieces
Pianos, gun safes and antique furniture take real equipment, not extra hands grabbed last minute. Our crew carries piano boards, straps and crating for anything that will not fit through a normal doorway.
Headed Out Of TX?
The crew that loads your truck in Houston is the crew that drives it and carries everything into your new place, whether that is Dallas or Baton Rouge. Nothing gets handed off to a different company halfway there.

What Our Clients Say
“Booked The One Movers for a Sugar Land to Dallas move and Terrence drove the truck himself. Everything showed up the next evening exactly as loaded, nothing shifted.”
“Good crew, on time, careful with our furniture. Only reason it's not five stars is the estimate ran about $150 under what the final job actually cost once they saw how many boxes we really had.”
“Three guys, one truck, done in under five hours moving our four-bedroom house to Pearland. Rafael double-checked the inventory sheet with me before they even started loading.”
Questions We Get Most
The One Movers answers these on nearly every call from Houston, TX.
Can you unload a storage container at my new place?
Yes, this is one of the most common labor-only jobs we book.
Do you provide the truck for labor-only help?
No, you supply the truck or container and we supply the crew.
How many movers do I need for a load-only job?
It depends on home size; we'll recommend a crew count when you request your estimate.
Is labor-only cheaper than a full-service move?
Generally yes, since you're only paying for crew time, not a truck or mileage.
